The High Adventures of Zookeeper Clyde

In a town where the skies were azure blue,
Lived zookeeper Clyde, with a penchant for brew.
He'd wake up each morning, with a grin oh so wide,
But his secret, you see, was his herb-filled delight.

With a puff and a pass, he'd hie to the gate,
Where the lions and tigers could hardly relate.
“Good morning, my friends!” he'd say with a cheer,
While the monkeys, they giggled, “Oh dear, oh dear!”

He’d stroll past the llamas, their necks all a-strain,
As he pondered if llamas could play in the rain.
“Maybe a splash party, they’d love it, I swear!”
But the llamas just stared, with that “Dude, take care” look.

Then came the snakes, all wriggly and slick,
Clyde waved them hello, “What’s up, my old stick?”
“We like things much cooler, can you get us some ice?”
Clyde laughed and replied, “But I think I’ll suffice!”

Next up were the bears, who were wide-eyed with glee,
As Clyde rolled them some snacks—now that’s quite the sight!
“Hey bears, did you know that you’re fuzzy and bright?”
They nodded and grunted, “You’ve got that just right!”

But as Clyde went on with his merry parade,
He forgot to relock the gate—or the shade!
The animals giggled and scampered around,
While Clyde waved his arms like a fool newly crowned.

With a roar from the lions, a warble from birds,
The chaos erupted, he heard all the words.
“But wait!” he exclaimed, “We can chill, take a breather!”
They paused for a moment, then danced as a feature.

With a grin and a chuckle, the whole zoo was free,
Clyde couldn’t help feeling he was partly to blame—
Yet who could resist such a wild, merry game?
“Let’s have a zoo party!” he shouted with glee.

So the animals boogied, from the snakes to the bears,
And Clyde, oh so jolly, just danced without cares.
With the sun setting low, and the laughter still high,
Who knew zookeeping was better—oh my!
