Time Travelers: The Stoned Odyssey

Two friends sat down, a couch was their throne,
With a puff and a laugh, their troubles were blown.
They rolled up a joint, with giggles and grins,
Little did they know, the adventure begins!

“What’s time?” asked Joe, with a gleam in his eyes,
“I’ve lost track of minutes, or maybe it’s lies.”
“Check the clock!” said Sue, her mind swirling round,
But the clock ticked away as they both sat spellbound.

An hour turned into a year, or so it felt,
As they munched on some snacks, their laughter would melt.
“Has the world ended?” asked Sue, eyes wide with dread,
“Are we stuck in this bubble, or time’s gone ahead?”

They Googled “the future,” but forgot to hit send,
Too busy discussing if cats could transcend.
“Let’s build a time machine!” Joe exclaimed with delight,
“With nachos for fuel, we’ll launch into night!”

But hours became days, as the sun set and shone,
What once felt like play was now lost in the zone.
They created grand theories on the meaning of life,
While forgetting their jobs, and Sue’s annoying wife!

Just then, came a knock; it was reality’s chime,
“Hey you two slackers! You’ve wasted some time!”
They stumbled to the door, like astronauts lost,
With a smirk on their faces — who cares what it costs?

So if you indulge in that green, leafy bliss,
Keep an eye on the clock; don’t want to be missed.
For time in that haze can fly fast as a kite,
And who knows, maybe Wednesday is actually Friday night!
