Two friends named Dave and Lou,
Sat down for a chill, just a hit or two.
With laughter and snacks, they rolled up a dream,
But little they knew, they’d lose track of time’s stream.
They sparked up a joint, with a flick and a cheer,
“This’ll be epic!” said Dave, then poured another beer.
A cloud of fine smoke floated high in the air,
“What’s the time?” asked Lou, “Do we even care?”
Minutes turned to hours, the sun started to fade,
“Hey Dave,” laughed Lou, “Do you think we’ve been played?”
“Naw man,” Dave grinned, as he munched on some chips,
“Time’s just a concept, it’s lost in the mists!”
They pondered on life, on the moon and the stars,
Debated if aliens were watching from cars.
“Should we get up?” said Lou, with a glimmering eye,
“Or just sit here forever, baked like a pie?”
A glance at the clock, it was quarter past ten,
“Oops!” they both gasped, “We’ve lost track again!”
They stumbled and giggled, what a glorious scene,
Who knew time was so funny, when stoned and serene?
So if you should find, on a chill afternoon,
That hours have vanished, like a magical rune,
Just laugh with your pals, make the most of the ride,
For time’s just a line, when you’re hazy inside!
